How do I order tests?
From within the platform, click on the Catalog tab on the top menu. The tests available to you will then appear and can be searched and analysed from there.

How do I determine which tests are appropriate for the organisation?
Depending on your organisation's needs, you will need to review each assessment to determine which one is right for you. Pearson Talent Assessment consultants are also available to help you determine which assessments will suit your needs.

Test manuals and other documentation are available free of charge from the platform, to assist you in making an informed decision about which instruments are most appropriate.

What do I do after I order?
The most common step is to assign assessments. Depending on your subscription level, you can assign: 
• manually, via upload. Or 
• via a custom URL. 
To do any of these, you click on the Assign tab in the top menu.

What is Custom URL Creation?
Users can create custom URL’s to be accessed by candidates rather than having to assign each candidate individually. This is only available on the Standard and Professional subscription level.

Once tests have been assigned, how do I know my results are ready?
Results are scored real-time and administrators can be notified by email when they are complete. The results can be viewed individually through the Results tab and collectively through the Reports tab.

Does the platform support other languages?
Yes, the platform is translated into the testing environment in 23 languages.

I entered invalid information when I registered. How do I change it?
Login to the platform and click on the Settings tab to edit your registration information.

I have a Basic subscription type and would like to access a subscription type with more privileges. How do I do this?
To update your subscription level, please contact us and we will organise this for you.

How do you ensure the security of the test data?
Pearson is very concerned about protecting all information because of its sensitive and personal nature. Advanced security methods are used that include multiple levels of password access, SSL encryption of personal data, test responses, and assessment reports. Test reports travel through encryption.

Can I utilise the platform without registering?
No. Per our publisher agreements, every user must register to access the site.

What are the different payment options?
We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. You can also register for purchase order authorisation when ordering.

What hardware and software do I need?
The web browser you need is Internet Explorer 7+ or Firefox 3+ (the platform is not optimised for Google Chrome, Safari or older versions of Explorer or Firefox). You will also need the latest Flash Player plug in. You can test your system from the platform.

How can I save my site as a bookmark?
If using Internet Explorer, save the main login as a Favorite. After saving, right click on your favourite, and click on Properties. Make sure the URL ends with your client name instead of “Default.aspx”.

What if a candidate doesn't take the assessment?
You may choose when to expire your email invitation; therefore, if you email an invitation and it’s never accessed, you can deposit it back into your inventory

What is the best browser to use with the platform?

Pearson recommends using the following browsers to maximise platform performance:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7.0 or 8.0
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 9.0 in compatibility mode
  • Firefox 3.0 or later

Please note, if you have a later version you may need to download an earlier version. You may be required to restart your computer once this download has been performed. You may also require permission to download from your IT department if you are working for an organisation.

Please explain expired? How long before a report expires?
A feature of the new platform – invitations expire whenever you like; you can set this feature – candidates reports do not expire. These can be archived.

What about Group management? Group URL? 
All users will be able to upload multiple candidates from an excel (csv) file, to avoid data input. The Group Management function (available in Professional subscription level) gives you the ability to create, edit, and upload groups into the system and then further filter for reporting and on-screen results.
Group URL creation (available for Standard subscription level) allows users to create custom URL(s) to be accessed by candidates vs. assigning each candidate individually.
